The tuning is diatonic (both major and minor scales) with a fundamental note between F#4 and G4. Keeping the second hole from the bottom closed, it will play a basic major pentatonic scale.
This flute warbles on the fundamental note when pushed (the bird might have to be adjusted slightly towards the sound hole)
